Willy and Len kept a careful eye on Chloe, who seemed SOOO big and uncomfortable with this pregnancy. At the first sign of some distress, they rushed her to their emergency clinic and it was determined that one of the puppies might be in trouble. So, an emergency c-section was performed to give each puppy the best chance of survival. Eight gorgeous puppies were born: 5 females, 3 males.
The Boys!
The Girls!
Sadly, one of the females failed to grow along with her siblings. Despite great care and effort, she quietly passed away at 1 week old. A very special thanks to Linda Luikens of Highmoon Havanese for her time and effort to give this little female every chance to live. We are all sad, but also at peace that it was simply not meant to be.
We are so grateful the other four girls have thrived! Meet (from left to right): Suzie, Sandie, Abbie and Lizzie. Aren't they gorgeous?
Here are the boys! How could they be ANY cuter? Meet Tommie, Nickie and Davie! All 7 are wonderful puppies. We are having so much fun with them!
5 1/2 weeks! Aren't they gorgeous?! They were a joy to care for, and all went to their new homes when they were 9 or 10 weeks old. We'll miss them!

Shelly and Simon did it AGAIN! Five gorgeous puppies were born on Thanksgiving evening - beginning at "twilight. " So, their names are: Edward, Bella, Jacob, Rosalie and Emmett.
We are thrilled with these beautiful puppies. All are sweet and content. As you can see, there's one black&tan, two creams, one Black Irish Pied and a sable. What a gorgeous variety! All are spoken for, ... BUT the next Simon litter is coming in 1/10 - Call for details!
True to his name's character, Jacob will soon be going through a major "change" as his tan markings develop. He's one good lookin' black&tan puppy!
Rosalie is such a sweet, beautiful puppy!
Bella is our tiny, precious angel. What a pretty girl!
True to HIS name's character, Edward is a beautiful, fair boy.
What better name for a buff, handsome male, than Emmett? He's the biggest in the litter, and quite the looker with his Black Irish Pied markings.
9 Days Old! They are all doing so well!
Aren't they ADORABLE?
What a lineup!
HERE THEY ALL ARE AT 4 WEEKS OLD!
Jacob is a predominantly black Black&Tan - very handsome and distinguished! He's a wonderful puppy.
Rosalie is a very pretty puppy with a sweet disposition.
Still the smallest in the litter, tiny Bella continues to enchant us.
And the winner of best coat in the litter goes to ..... Edward! His coat is the longest, and feels like soft, pure silk. We adore him.
Still the largest in the litter, we lovingly refer to sweet Emmett as our "Hunky Chunky."
7 WEEKS OLD! I have never had MORE fun with a litter of puppies. Not only are they all GORGEOUS, they also all have very sweet, loving dispositions. THEY'VE BEEN A JOY TO CARE FOR, AND I'LL MISS THEM SO MUCH WHEN THEY START GOING HOME! As you can see, they have thrived in Shelly's loving care.

Here they are! Aren't they beautiful? The first litter all grew into fabulous dogs, so we have high expectations for these sweet babies.
The sable parti is a female. All the rest are males, which are usually the sweeter and cuddlier of this breed! So, there should be lots of sweet cuddles with these little fellas over the next several weeks.
Here they are at 1 week old - they are sweet, content puppies. We are thrilled with their gorgeous heads and soft, silky coats.
They are sweet and playful puppies. Willy and Len are thrilled with their beautiful heads, coats and structure. This was definitely a breeding worth repeating!!!
6 weeks old! Can you believe Oma walked by the puppy box and saw them all lined up - color coordinated - and snapped this picture! How did she get 6 puppies to face the camera at the same time!!! AMAZING!

OK, these are not our puppies, but our Simon (CH Delta Dawn's Midnight Magic) is the sire, and Moxie (Howyk's She's Got Moxie) the dam was born right here in our home. So, we are VERY proud of this gorgeous litter! We also like helpng them all find wonderful homes. This litter is owned by Terri Henry, Music City Havanese in Spring Hill, TN. Her # is 931-223-5227. 4 females, 2 males born 9/13/09. All Healthy! All Gorgeous! Good job Moxie and Simon!

These puppies are all with their new families, but not to worry: their fabulous sire, CH Delta Dawn's Midnight Magic (Simon) was bred to Shelly's beautiful black&tan littermate, Moxie on 7/17/09. AND we have just repeated this same breeding with Shelly, with puppies due in November 09! So, there should be lots of gorgeous puppies with this same pedigree! Check out the Planned Litters Page. Call for details!
It was a LONG night, but well worth it! We are thrilled with these 5 beautiful puppies. There are 3 females and 2 males. They have wonderful markings and lots of color!
1st born was a beautiful Black Irish Pied female my 8 year old son named Jingle.
Next came a beautiful male - our very first black Havanese! I just had to name him Cubby! He has his daddy's gorgeous head, and I can't wait to watch him grow into an adorable little black cub!
3rd born was another male, and another pied - a beautiful Sable Irish Pied. Isn't he awesome? He's the largest puppy in the litter. My 16 year old son named him Bradford for the recent Heisman Trophy winner. GO OKLAHOMA!!!
The 4th puppy was a sable female we all named Noel to express our gratitude for this Christmas season, and for this amazing litter. She's a doll!
Meet Miracle, otherwise known as Mira. She was born at our local Emergency Vet Clinic due to Shelly's lack of interest in pushing her out! The car ride there apparantly did the trick, and Mira was born right in the waiting room as soon as we arrived. The vet cleaned her off, handed her to me and said, "No charge." WHAT A MIRACLE!! :)
19 Days Old! What an amazing lineup!
Jingle has grown into a gorgeous, spunky female. She is definitely most likely to make us laugh!
Cubby has his father's magnificent head, adorable white chin, and comical personality!
Bradford is still the biggest puppy, and has a very sweet, easygoing personality. He's a doll!
Noel is very sweet, and such a beauty!
Mira is the smallest puppy and has a very sweet, gentle personality. We are very proud of her and this entire litter!

Two gorgeous litters arrived at Willy and Len's in California in August, 2008. In total, there were 12 puppies: 6 females and 6 males! We were absolutely THRILLED! See the Planned Litters Page to read more about these wonderful breedings. As of 11/18/08, all 12 are now placed in their wonderful new homes. Len even flew two puppies to Ohio for families there. Everyone reports back that they LOVE their Howky's Havanese Puppy!!

Chloe delivered 5 gorgeous black&white parti puppies on 8/29/08. There are 3 females and 2 males. The puppies are all beautiful, and very content. :) Mother and babies are all doing great. Good job, Chloe!!!!
Their breeding and pedigree are excellent. They are strong, beautiful, healthy puppies. We are so thrilled.
Here are Chloe's babies at 2 week old. Yes, there is an extra little guy. Willy and Len decided to give Chloe one of Tessa's babies, so that they would each have 6 to nurse. Chloe accepted and bonded to her new sable son right away! And he has thrived in her care.
Brothers all are WE!
Here are the 3 females. Aren't they all gorgeous? Watch for Deena (on the left) in the show ring in Spring, 09 with her wonderful new owner, Linda Luikens, Highmoon Havanese! www.highmoonhavanese.com
Chloe's handsome sons! Watch for Danny (on the left) in the show ring in Spring, 09 with HIS wonderful new owner, Susan Bankson, Rlynn Havanese! www.rlynnhavanese.net
The air conditioner went out during a September heat wave, so Willy and Len put the pups in the downstairs shower to keep them cool. They still love it as an occasional play pen and a great place to take a long nap! Aren't they a gorgeous litter? Good breeding SHOWS!

Here's Tessa with her 1 day old puppies. She had 7 beautiful puppies: 3 females, 4 males. She and Bristol obviously make an incredible match! All three black puppies are actually black&tans - they are the females in this litter. The sables and sable/white partis are all males. Great job, Tessa!
Tessa is a wonderful mother, and lovingly watches over her beautiful brood.
Three weeks old and doing just great!
Here is Cobe, our little surprise puppy. Tessa had a litter of 6, and despite constant monitoring during the night, sometime and/or somehow had a beautiful 7th puppy that was discovered in the whelping box the next morning! :) As you can see, she's a gorgeous puppy. Here she is at 4 weeks old. Can you imagine a more WONDERFUL surprise??!!
THE GIRLS! All three females in the litter are black&tan puppies. How fun! 4 weeks old!
THE BOYS! Here are Tessa and Bristol's beautiful sable sons.
Click this link to see a cute slide show of these two beautiful litters. http://smilebox.com/playBlog/4e446b354d7a4d314e513d3d0d0a

Shelly and Bristol's gorgeous litter arrived on 5/8/08 VERY early in the morning!
This is the most beautiful litter of four sables! There are three males and one female. They look a lot alike in this picture, but they all have gorgeous and unique markings.
Meet Isaac, the first born. Is he gorgeous or what? He is perfectly marked, including four little white feet.
Rocky! He was born second, and looks a lot like his big brother in color. But, he has parti markings on his back, with lots of dark sable color. We thought he looked like the color of Rocky Road ice cream, so we named him Rocky. All four legs are white. He's also the smallest puppy. He's a sweetie.
Chloe! She's the only female in this litter, and she's quite a looker with her gorgeous color and markings. Love the chipmunk stripe down her back!
"Who is that handsome stranger in the black mask?" Why, it's none other than our gorgeous Biscuit! (aka Bristol, Jr.) He completes this amazing litter. We're absolutely thrilled with them all.
We've loved and enjoyed caring for this very special litter. They've been so sweet and so easy! Click this link to see a a slide show of these gorgeous puppies as they've grown: http://smilebox.com/playBlog/4d7a6b784e4445354d513d3d0d0a

This is NOT our litter, but our Bristol is the sire. So, we can't resist showing them off. We're so proud of the gorgeous puppies Bristol helped to produce. This litter is in Bellevue, OH with their mom, Tasha, and their wonderful breeder, Linda Keith. We have absolutely no doubt that Bristol's babies are receiving the very best of care there. Thank you SO much, Linda! And sadly, yes, .... they are all spoken for. Please feel free to contact us regarding other planned litters.
Bristol and Tasha produced a litter of 3 males and 1 female. Three of the puppies are black&tan, and one is a black & white parti. It is going to be so much fun to post pictures of them as they grow, and as the black&tans puppies' gorgeous markings develop.
Black&tan is a beautiful, and less common marking. I'm amazed there are 3 in the same litter. They will all develop tan muzzles and eyebrows, and have tan legs and chest markings. All of these puppies have gorgeous heads with short muzzles. We're thrilled!
This adorable little male will be coming to live with his awesome new family in Beavercreek - the same town as his daddy. We're going to enjoy having him so close.
Black&tan markings are so cute and distinctive. This is the only female in the litter. What a beauty!
Four Weeks Old! They are all sweet, healthy and gorgeous babies. What a beautiful litter!
It's so much fun to watch the development of black&tan markings as they grow. Look at those gorgeous heads!
"OK, OK! Enough about black&tan markings! Black&white parti may be more common, but come on - you have to admit - I am one stunning little dude! Check out my gorgeous head, structure and tailset!"
A gorgeous little black & tan male - 5 weeks old!
They've only gotten cuter and cuter with each passing week!
What an adorable "Bristol Baby!"

Here are Tessa and Spike's beautiful puppies: there are 3 cream males, 1 black & white male, and 2 cream females. They are all strong, healthy, and thriving. All are on the smaller side, with very sweet temperaments, and lovely, soft coats.
Two Weeks Old! They are continuing to develop into gorgeous puppies. They are all sweet and content.
Tessa is a loving and very attentive mother.
3 Weeks Old! Here are the two females - what absolutely gorgeous faces!
3 Weeks Old! Here are two of the males. They are all so beautiful! One male will fly from CA to Ohio with Sue on 3/11 to live with his wonderful new family near his Uncle Rooney. (Donatello in the 5/29/07 litter below.)
8 weeks old ALREADY?! They are developing into such beautiful puppies. These little ones have been a joy to care for. They are all sweet, attentive and intelligent puppies. And of course, they have gorgeous structure and coats. This beautiful little male will fly with Sue from CA to his new home in Columbus, Ohio.
This has been a fantastic litter. We will miss them all so much.

Shelly and Teddy's beautiful litter were born on 5/29/07. Four gorgeous males! So, we quickly dubbed them, "The 4 Musketeers" - complete with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle names - thanks to the knowledge of our kindergartener, Brock. :) Here they are in birth order:
Donatello! This beautiful champagne male's pigment filled in quicker than any puppy I can remember! He also has luscious black lips, dark black pads on his feet, and is developing a dark muzzle and ears. He is one constantly evolving little dude!
Leonardo! He holds the distinction of being the very first Howky's Havanese white puppy. He is the smallest in this litter, and a very sweet little guy!
Michaelangelo! This wonderful little guy can't decide what color he is! He seemed white at birth like his brother, Leonardo. But now his head and legs are turning silver. He has the darkening muzzle, ears and black pads like his brother Donatello. I guess he's just trying to find his own unique look.
Raphael! Well, SOMEONE has to stick out like a sore thumb! Raphael thought he'd serve that purpose with his striking dark good looks. He is smaller, like Leo, but has what I like to lovingly refer to as "a big mouth!" He, like his brothers, is a very healthy, sweet and adorable puppy.

What a gorgeous, sweet puppy. He is a sturdy, calm, happy boy.
Leo is still by far the smallest. His pigment is taking its time, but it is coming! He has such an ADORABLE personality - he is our little clown. I vote him "Most Likely to Make Me Laugh."
Michaelangelo decided to develop into a gorgeous cream male. He is so sweet and has been a joy to care for!
This has been a very quiet, sweet and adorable litter. These qualities all fit Raphael as well. He's a doll! Nuff said!

How could he be any cuter?
Leo is still the smallest, with a fun, personable temperament. He's just a cutie.
Michaelangelo is a sweetheart, and a joy!
Raphael is a calm, sweet puppy. What a handsome boy!

Gorgeous Chloe had a wonderful litter of 6 puppies on 3/16/07. There are 4 males and 2 females. They are all beautiful black & white partis with adorable black masks on their faces. Imagine how adorable they'll be when they're old enough to take group photos! We'll have to call this the "Bandito Litter." :) We'll post more pictures soon, but for right now, mother and brood are doing great!
Benny!
Jody!
Lacy!
Panda!
Scotty!
Bruce!

Despite efforts to keep them apart, Romeo and Juliet (aka Simon and Shelly) found a way and we were blessed with two absolutely gorgeous puppies. The black & white parti is a male, and the sable a female. Obviously, Simon and Shelly make an excellent match. Could there be any two cuter "oopsies?" For now, we'll just love and cuddle these precious ones through the holidays. They are SUCH sweet, content babies!
19 Days Old! Alphie and Blossom have been the happiest, sweetest and most content puppies! They have been a joy to care for. We'll miss them when they go to their new homes: Alphie's in Virginia and Blossom's in Utah. In the meantime, we're looking forward to cuddling and playing with them for the next few weeks.
Here's Blossom - 6 weeks old! She is such a lovely, sweet and beautiful puppy.
Alphie is also 6 weeks old in this picture - a very handsome puppy with gorgeous markings!
These two will be going to their wonderful new homes in Utah and Virginia right around Christmas. They have been the happiest and sweetest puppies - absolute little darlings! We'll miss them so much!
They've only gotten more gorgeous with each passing week. Here they are at 7 weeks - almost ready to join their new families! (Sniff!)

Here's Ginger's gorgeous litter, born late in the evening on June 14, and early in the morning of June 15, 2006. There are 8 beautiful puppies: 6 males, 2 females. They're fathered by Ozzy, a champion from Simcox Havanese in Peru, Indiana. Thanks Kim! What a GORGEOUS litter with beautiful markings and LOTS of color!
Two days old and all are thriving!
Sables All Are We! There are 6 sable and white puppies in the litter and two that are black & white.
What a debonaire young man. We just had to give him the call name: "Jack Black." (His family later named him "Louie.") Too cute!
These puppies are very colorful, with gorgeous markings.
There's nothing like curling up for a long nap after a great meal!
They are 10 days old in this picture. Their eyes are still closed, but they have starting walking all over the box, and discovering each other.
