5/1/10 - Frodo was awarded BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX in Michigan. We are so proud of him! His adult coat is coming in: thick, soft and very silky - lots of coppery red!
5/31/10 - Frodo was shown in the Cincinnati Kennel Club's four day show. I hesitated to enter him, knowing it would attract some major breeders and handlers. Frodo placed 2nd on two of the four days. On Monday, Frodo placed ahead of 4 males and 10 females going for points, and won BEST OF WINNERS. This is his second Major Win. He needs just 5 more points for his championship. Go Frodo and Alissa!
Frodo turned right around and got another Major Win on 6/5/10 at the Toledo Kennel Club Show. He got Best of Winners, with 7 males and 11 females entered. He's on fire!
6/12/10: Another Best of Winners award in Canton, Ohio! Yea! He needs just one more point for his championship. We're so proud of you, Frodo. THANK YOU, ALISSA!
7/31/10: MAJOR NEWS FLASH!!! Frodo got a huge 4 point win in Marion, OH and WON HIS CHAMPIONSHIP! Again, I hesitated to enter him in such a big show when he needed just 1 more point, but I knew he could win, and wanted him to get his championship. Well, he absolutely outdid himself. He placed over the males and females entered, earning Winner's Dog and Best of Winners! Wow! What a way to finish, with 4 Major Wins and a total of 18 points. We are so proud of Frodo, and very thankful to his wonderful handler, Alissa Welling.

Not to be outdone by her brother, our beautiful and elegant Tessa got her first major in Sacramento, CA in October, 06. Willy likes to refer to her as a "classic Havanese." Way to go Tessa!
8/25/07 TESSA UPDATE: Tessa has had 3 more major wins! The most recent was on 8/24/07 in Santa Barbara. Our friend from Holland, Meta Von Hout (Sweet Honesty Havanese) is in California for a visit, and has been showing Tessa for us with great success. Tessa now has 13 points - all with Major Wins. She needs just two more points for her championship. That's quite an accomplishment, especially with the amazingly stiff competition in Northern California, where many of the country's best Havanese are being shown. GO TESSA!!! I'll add more of her show winning pictures - just as soon as my parents send them to me!!!!
Tessa was awarded Winner's Bitch on 8/26/07, and earned her championship. Thank you again Meta for showing Tessa to 3 wins during your three week vacation in California!!! You two were a fantastic team!
Quick Post Script: Tessa makes the 3rd puppy from her litter to earn an AKC championship. Besides Simon, their brother, Peluche - CH Teddy's Bear of Delta Dawn is also a champion. What a fantastic breeding. Thank you Delta Dawn Havanese: www.deltadawnkennels.com

Bristol is growing fast, and made his show debut in October, 2006 at the Havanese Nationals in Richmond Virginia. Emily had a blast showing him in the Puppy Sweepstakes. They will be attending classes during the winter, then Bristol will hit the local show ring circuit with Emily as his handler in the Spring of 07. Emily is really looking forward to showing this adorable little guy.
